This Account Development Manager position sits within the Public Sector Account Team, reporting directly to one of the UK Sales Managers, and involves revenue growth and development with an existing number of clients with the market leader for HR and Payroll in the UK - where particular focus on the growth will be from understanding and selling SAAS and BPAAS.

The candidate must be tenacious, self-driven and hardworking, but primarily be able to sell whilst maintaining an effective and sustained relationship over 3, 5, 7 and 10 year contracts.

The role is home-based with considerable travel with circa 35 accounts, with 13 accounts based in the London area and the remaining South (as far as the South Coast). There will be at least 3 days per month that will be based in an NGA HR Office. The annual TCV target for this role is in the region of £3m – typical average deal sizes range from £100K to £500K.

The Role

The Account Development Manager (ADM) is responsible for the development and maintenance of long-term strategic customer relationships. The ADM develops an intimate understanding of each customer’s business goals, value creation mantra and strategic direction; therefore being able to create a meaningful, valuable engagement beyond day-to-day service delivery objectives. The ADM creates demand for new services by raising their profile with customers to deliver sales based upon Total Contract Value (TCV), Profit and Licence revenue targets as provided by the business each year.

Revenue will be delivered through the entire NGA portfolio of solutions and services, including but not limited to; ResourceLink, Cloud based Services, Fully Managed Payroll Services. In addition all complementary Professional Services, including Project Management, Application Consultancy, Training, Business Intelligence Consultancy, etc.

The ADM is required to produce accurate sales forecasts on a weekly basis that details sales pipeline, opportunities generated and when contracts will close by maintaining and updating the sales CRM system, Salesforce.

An ADM at NGA holds a position of responsibility and accountability; these demands are balanced by the potential remuneration available for a successful employee.

Other key responsibilities include:
Generating sales leads through attendance at exhibitions, seminars and through general territory management.

To manage all aspects of the sales cycle from lead generation through to the proposal, presentation and finally to contract negotiation.

To present at Director level and maintain Director level relationships.
